October is Halloween Eye Safety month! Read on for some spooky tips on keeping your eyes healthy!

Colored contact lenses - often a part of Halloween costumes, these can often come with significant risks of scarring, infections, and even blindness. Stick with known brands such as Alcon, and avoid third party online sellers.

Costume makeup and eyelashes - these can also be risky due to the possibility of contamination and damage to the eye, especially if left in place for too long. Use carefully, remove promptly, and call us right away if something seems wrong!

Finally, watch out for those props like swords, shields, or wands! Always look carefully where you swing or wave them, especially on those dark trick or treat evenings.
