Eating for PCOS doesn’t need to be complicated, I promisešŸ˜

One of the most common things I see in new clients who want to reverse their PCOS symptoms, have tried everything and still can’t lose weight? They’re not eating enough food!

And I know it sounds coutnerinutituve because if you want to lose weight you should ā€œeat less,ā€ right? But in reality that is SO not the case.

Our body needs fuel to function. Our hormones are literally made from amino acids in the protein we eat, cholesterol from the healthy fats we eat and the carbohydrates we consume drive the energy behind our hormones actually doing what needs to be done in our bodies.

FOOD IS INFORMATION FOR OUR BODY.

Of course, what we are eating, when and how much, is what we need to pay attention to.

I used to skip breakfast, have no protein at lunchtime, and then be starving at dinner and eat way too much.

This left my body in such a state of stress, which is why my PCOS symptoms were so bad - only got my period 2-3 times per year, was bloated all the time and gaining weight, getting daily headaches and couldn’t sleep through the night because of my anxiety.

My body was screaming at me to fix my hormones, and I’m SO happy that I listened because since then everything has changed.

I have WAY more energy now, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been physically, I get my period regularly with very minimal symptoms and I feel SO much more confident and connected to my body in a way I never had before.

I’m exhaustedddd today but then I remembered how lucky I am to be living this life….saw so many friends this week, taught tons of yoga, building my dream business, met with clients that lit up my whole day and spending the weekend with family and my best friends’ babies 🄹

Life is so good, I’m so grateful to need rest ā¤ļø

Hear me out…

I used to think the only way to lose weight with PCOS was to eat less, push harder, and be perfect every single day. Which was honestly just super overwhelming.

But what I actually see over and over again (with clients and in my own experience too) is that this restriction usually just makes symptoms worse… not better.

When you’re skipping meals, under-eating, and constantly trying to restrict, your body goes into stress mode.
ļæ½Blood sugar gets unstable, cortisol goes up, cravings get stronger, and your metabolism slows down to compensate.

So even though it feels like you’re doing everything right… your body is working against you.

When you shift to:
* Eating enough protein
* Actually fueling your body consistently
* Supporting your metabolism with daily movement (like daily steps)

Your body starts to feel safe again.

And that’s when things like energy, cravings, hormones, and weight actually start to regulate.
