Please enjoy a few pearls of wisdom below:
As we all experience a time of great uncertainty, itโs important we try to stay calm, reach out for help when needed, and make sure to get our information from reputable sources. If the virus spread turning into a pandemic was not enough, the craziness that ensued causing empty grocery shelves and short supplies of paper product would be enough for anyone to end up in a full panic. This response, however, will only make things more difficult. Taking this time off work that so many are facing might be the right time to look into meditation to calm our nerves. Take a look at this great article on mindfulness and meditation to help us through this period.

While a lunch date with friends sounds like a great way to unwind, social distancing has meant that we have to forego this favorite pastime for now. Social distancing, the practice of staying 6 feet away from the next person in social situations is part of what will help minimize the spread of the virus throughout our communities. Meeting with friends is a great way to destress though, so I say donโt forego it completely! Be creative, Skype, Google Hangout, and Facetime are all great examples of how social media can help us stay connected and have a virtual lunch date.
Lastly, although itโs important to be informed, it is also very easy to get sucked into the heightened scare tactics and negativity of the news and social media. The truth is, we will get through this. It wonโt be today or tomorrow, but we will eventually get through this pandemic. In the meantime, please make sure that you are getting your news from reputable, reliable sources. Below are just a few.
