Where are my worry warts???

Or stressed out friends?? Did you know that the adrenal cortex, where cortisol is produced, is also responsible for producing glucocorticoids which regulate carbohydrate metabolism and mineralocorticoids which regulate sodium and potassium levels?

When the adrenal cortex is burnt out, regulating blood sugar levels, having adequate fuel delivery for cell function, dehydration, craving salts and sugars, decreased blood pressure, puffiness will all come knocking at your door.

Another reason you need minerals when your stressed!! And learning how to breathe and relax. ❤️

Over 80% of all diseases are preventable.

😌💭✨Imagine if for one decade, only ten years the entire country of America would really focus on lifestyle changes, improving diets, de-stressing, drinking more water, getting more exercise and better sleep. Imagine if all the doctors would teach people about disease prevention. I would estimate you would see a drop in major disease diagnoses by over 50% and trillions of dollars saved...

🩺🧬Instead of running everyone through thousands of tests and putting people on trillions of dollars of medications, we would educate people on health.

💚💊🥺What would our world be like in one decade’s time if we would teach health to our kids, we would feed our kids healthy foods, we would promote wellness care, rather than sickness care.

Taking care of your immune system can be particularly challenging when you're on the road or during this cold and flu season 🤗 But it doesn't have to be. In order for your body to function at its best, it needs adequate sleep, a healthy diet, regular exercise, hygiene, and to reduce stress.

🌟 Safely and naturally release 10 pounds with these 3 Easy Steps! 🏋️‍♀️🥗

Let's savor the festivities guilt-free and stay fit and fabulous. After you enjoy your Thanksgiving meal and indulge in the festive feast, you may want to shed 10 extra pounds.

As the holiday season kicks off, setting health and fitness goals is not uncommon. If you're ready to embark on a journey to drop 10 pounds and embrace a healthier lifestyle, consider incorporating balanced meals, regular exercise, and mindful choices into your routine.

Remember, sustainable changes and patience are essential on this post-Thanksgiving wellness journey. Here's to enjoying the holiday season while also prioritizing your well-being!

1. Add Fresh Ginger and Lemon to your ONE GALLON of water per day. This serves to hydrate your body and also is anti-inflammatory for your body. Lemon is very detoxifying too. I aim to add a full thumb size FRESH ginger per day and at least one full FRESH lemon most days.

2. Combine 100 grams of protein and 30 minutes of movement a day. Seems like a lot, but it will help you drop weight fast. Make sure your protein is grass fed or wild caught. Also while your at it, add in 5 cups of green veggies per day!! When you load up on protein and veggies you will feel strong and lean.

3. Sit and Destress for at least 10-20 minutes per day. This is my favorite. So many people are so stressed out, no matter what they try they can’t drop weight. Get your body out of stress to find a faster way to fat loss. This is a no brainer in the world we live in today. Along with this, get out for gentle walks for 30 minutes per day. I Love to walk to my favorite hiking trail not too far and then I have my Prayer rock I sit on for about 20 minutes to breathe and pray then I head back. Its a great way to destress and move my body.

You can and will see amazing results if you use these tips! I have dozens of success stories just like this from people who followed these tips and the other easy yet effective tips that are in my hormone reset program!

To all the women who don't accept your body or love your curves!!! This is for YOU!!!

Body love ❤️. Self acceptance. 😊

I as a 5’9 woman weighing over 150 pounds since I was in highschool have had to work through this topic. I was always the tallest and “biggest” in middle school. “Biggest”??? What the hell did that mean?? We as women equate tall with “big”?? I was never a petite gal. It has taken me decades to step into my acceptance!!

Fast forward to our modern day of Photoshop and Filters. I feel they are destroying girls and womens view of a normal body. These filters need to be used with extreme caution!!! My 18 year old daughter and I discuss this often.

Not to mention, Middle Age can be an interesting time period, in men Or womens lives. “Mid Life Crisis” can strike the best of solid people. Our bodies change. Wrinkles start to appear. Cellulite strikes the body and things are not the same as when we were in our 20s and 30s. I am all about working out, staying healthy and as fit as possible. I work on it daily. But my body is not perfect and I accept this, but I strive to keep working on it and finding my healthiest version.

No one knows the true deep down struggles YOU have survived. No one has the perfect life. Stress can take a toll………

As a doctor of almost 20 years, I am also realistic, telomeres and DNA strands start to unravel, hormones change and free radicals destroy things and stress of living in a crazy world takes a toll.

As a certified Institute of Eating Psychology coach and a holistic chiropractor I want to help this topic!!! It breaks my heart as I listen to 80% of women truly not love or accept their body!!! For goodness sakes, this is the body you are in 24/7!!! You can’t shut the door on it or run away from it. It’s with you all the time!! And if you don’t accept it or love it, wow, that can be draining!! Or even worse, depressing!!

It’s seriously time for an upgrade in the mental world of body image. Gone are the days to think you need a perfect body, or a size 2 and weigh 120 pounds (I say that loosely as many aim for that) The marketing industry, filters and photoshop Applications have literally destroyed mindset and expectations of a woman’s curves and beautiful body!!!

I hope you will join me in bringing more Body and Self love back to our world and to be a great role model for the young girls of the future.

Here’s to all the ladies who are imperfect, have some cellulite, a little tummy roll, or some damn sexy curves!!! Keep striving for health, happiness and continued self acceptance!!! I will be your biggest cheerleader to find health and self love!!!

Do you need Yoga??

Yoga is an ancient practice to balance mind and body. It is known to help bring enlightenment and a deep sense of calmness to one's inner self.

Finding a consistent practice of yoga to your daily or weekly life can greatly enhance the joy, peace, and improvement in health and well-being.

I got certified as a yoga instructor two years ago and practice yoga each morning as a way to ground me and center me for the busy day ahead. It is a game changer in my life!!!

Also as a chiropractor, it makes total sense to me to help with balance, flexibility and strength. I see some of the most beautiful graceful aging people and many of them practice yoga as their secret to aging gracefully.

There is a beautiful presence to people who practice true authentic yoga and meditation.

A calmness!!!

Blood 🩸 doesn’t lie. Neither does saliva for hormones. Or urine. I had 11 viles of blood drawn this week to stay proactive with my own health and wellness Journey. 😊 what once used to make me queezy and nearly faint, now I happily sit there chatting away- to keep me distracted.

I want to be as healthy as I can entering into the second half of my beautiful life. I want to help explain blood and the importance of testing to my patients.

Practice my 4 x 4 Relaxation Method: Breathing in for 4 seconds, holding it for 4 seconds, Breathing out for 4 Seconds. Do this 4 cycles, 4 times a day!!! Watch how it can shift you!!!

👉Inhale deeply. As you breathe in, allow your stomach to relax so that the air flows into your abdomen. Let your stomach expand as you breathe in. Visualize the lowest parts of your lungs filling up with air.

👉Imagine that the air you are breathing in is filled with peace and calm. A sensation of peacefulness and calm is filling every cell of your body. Your whole body feels warm and relaxed as you breathe in this air.

👉Now, exhale deeply. As you breathe out, imagine the air being pushed out from the bottom of your lungs to the top. Release any stress or tension that you might be holding as you exhale.

👉Repeat this sequence until your entire body feels calm, relaxed and energized. Enjoy the wonderful feeling of deep, slow breathing.

The science of stress making you store fat is real my friends. When our body goes into stress mode “fight or flight” (sympathetic dominance) our body releases extra cortisol, inflammation goes up, body becomes acidic, and blood sugars go up and we release extra insulin.

Yeh how frustrating is that? You eat healthy, yet your body’s response to work or money stress is as if you just ate a big piece of Chocolate Cake. Not fair, you may have just as well enjoyed the cake.

Think again! Because sugar adds even more inflammation and makes your body extra acidic. If you are someone who is under extra or long term stress it’s time you understand you HAVE to find ways to let the stress go, change your mindset, take up meditation (would love to help teach you, I am a meditation instructor), be extra mindful of balancing your blood sugars (Minerals, especially chromium), alkalize your body, and stop beating yourself up mentally.

It’s a biochemical process that sometimes has to
Change within our minds and life choices first to reduce stress. Trust me during times of high stress I have had seasons too of eating healthy, exercising and stress can still win…….It Just reminds me I need to set healthy boundaries, do my meditation and let go even more and keep having the FAITH and don’t give up!!!

A wise doctor once said, “Disease is complicated, health is not.”
Treating disease can be very costly accompanied by horrible side effects of the medications. Preventing disease is much more affordable and has no side effects. Becoming healthy by eating healthy is much easier to achieve, it’s something we all can do if we choose to.

Just drinking more water is one simple habit to improve!!💦

Ayurveda.

This several thousand year way of healing is a way of looking at the body, mind and emotions via balancing your doshas. You see, each was born with a specific Prakruti (unique nature). Some people are thin and run hot, others are slow and gain weight easily, yet others have an overstimulated mind. The doshas are vata, pita, kapha. These describe us and help find ways to balance us through specific foods, activities, rest patterns, and environmental issues. Some need more cooling foods, others more warmth. Some people do amazing intense exercises, others not so much!! They need more yoga and gentleness.

The more I dive into discovering healing tools, the more I am fascinated and convinced there truly is no perfect way!! It’s finding YOUR WAY!!! This is the epitome of don’t compare yourself to what your friends are doing or what marketing is brainwashing you to believe!! It’s YOUR WAY!! I am thrilled to have completed my Chopra Ayurvedic certification and training, it’s been on my radar for years as I was first introduced to it when I went through my Meditation training. As I learn, I will be sharing more on natural ways to heal. Mind-Body- Emotions and On ways to balance each dosha. ❤️😊

Thyroid Gem:
TSH is not a thyroid hormone- it’s a pituitary messenger. And T4 (inactive thyroid hormone) is converted into T3 (the ACTIVE thyroid hormone) in the liver and gut! So if you don’t have healthy liver or gut it could be an underlying reason you can’t heal your thyroid. You need T3 to work for proper metabolism, hair growth, heart beating, moods, bowels and temperature regulation.

The thyroid is such a misunderstood endocrine gland.
