Your nervous system has a love language…
and aromatherapy speaks it fluently 🌿

It’s not “push harder.”

It’s:
Slow down.
Breathe.
Feel safe again.

This is why I love aromatherapy.

Because it meets your body where it is—without needing a full routine or extra effort.

Just one aroma can shift your state.

Lavender to soften.
Citrus to lift.
Eucalyptus to clear.
Frankincense to ground.

Simple, intentional, and powerful.

That’s exactly how we design our blends at AromaWell—so they support real moments, real environments, and real people.

Some days don’t look like balance.

They look like full calendars, back-to-back conversations, travel, decision-making… and somewhere in between, carving out time to connect, to learn, and to share what matters most.

This is a little behind the scenes of what it actually looks like.

Because being a working woman—especially in leadership—isn’t about doing less.

It’s about doing things differently.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what we’re building with Collective Women’s Leadership here in Scottsdale alongside incredible women like Carrie Habel, Denise Carman, and Chelsea Babcock.

We’re not interested in hustle for the sake of hustle.

We’re interested in something deeper:

✨ Emotional intelligence as a business tool
✨ Nervous system regulation as a leadership advantage
✨ Creating success that doesn’t come at the expense of your well-being

Because the most effective leaders I know aren’t the ones pushing the hardest.

They’re the ones who understand how to regulate, connect, and lead with intention.

That’s the kind of space we’re creating.

And that’s the kind of leadership I’m committed to living—both in my work with AromaWell and in the communities I’m part of.

If this resonates, I’d love for you to follow along as we build this.

We talked about what women in care are carrying…

The emotional weight.
The constant support for others.
The pressure to hold everything together.

But there’s another side to that conversation:

What’s missing.

Because when you’re constantly giving, supporting, and showing up for everyone else, what you don’t have starts to matter just as much.

Time to reset.
Space to breathe.
A calmer environment.
Support that actually supports you.

This isn’t just about workload.

It’s about how the environment and system either support you… or slowly drain you.

So I’d love to hear from you.

💬 Finish this sentence in the comments:

“My workday would feel better if I had more ______.”

Your answer might help someone else feel seen and it helps all of us better understand what real support actually looks like.

Before I fully step into spring… I want to share something from winter.

A quiet weekend up north.
Out of the city.
Into the mountains.

There’s something about being in nature that brings you back to yourself.

Bare feet on the ground.
Breathing in juniper, pine, and the natural aromatics of the forest.
Time slowing down in a way you can actually feel.

This is what forest bathing really is.

Nature’s version of aromatherapy.

Not bottled.
Not scheduled.
Just… experienced.

We spent the weekend simply living.

Fishing.
Cooking food that came straight from the land.
Firewood burning in the stove—each tree releasing its own scent into the air.
Music. Movement. Laughter. Presence.

And the thing I kept thinking about was this:

We’re not meant to be in constant motion.

This Lenten season is such a powerful reminder of that.

A time to pause.
To reflect.
To strip away what’s unnecessary.
And to come back to what actually matters.

Because slowing down isn’t falling behind.

It’s remembering who you are without the noise.

As a Minnesota girl, I love that I can drive just a couple hours north here in Arizona and find this kind of space again—woods, mountains, stillness.

And every time I do, I’m reminded:

This is the feeling we’re trying to recreate in our everyday environments.

Calm.
Clarity.
Connection.

Whether it’s in nature… or through intentional tools like aromatherapy.

“Aromatherapy isn’t clinical.” I hear this more often than you’d think.

And I understand where it comes from.

Because for years, aromatherapy has been positioned as something soft… optional… or purely aesthetic.

But here’s the reality:

Scent is science.

In light of World Health Day with the theme "Together for health. Stand with science", it’s worth remembering that aromatherapy isn’t just about fragrance.

It’s about biology.

When we inhale essential oils, they interact directly with the olfactory system, which is closely linked to the limbic system—the part of the brain that regulates emotion, memory, and stress response.

That’s why essential oils can:

• shift mood in seconds
• reduce perceived stress
• support emotional regulation
• influence behavior and environment

This isn’t theoretical.

It’s measurable, observable, and increasingly supported in clinical and care settings—especially in senior living, memory care, and mental health environments.

At AromaWell, this is exactly how we approach our work.

Not as “nice to have.”

But as a non-pharmacological, evidence-informed tool that supports both people and the environments they live and work in.

Because standing with science also means being open to how science shows up in different forms.

And sometimes, it looks like something as simple as a breath.

🌿 Curious how clinical aromatherapy is being used in real care environments? Message me. I’d be happy to share.
🔁 Repost to help shift the conversation around science + wellness

From circulation to cognition, essential oils activate the body in measurable ways.

Each oil can contain 30–300 natural compounds—with actions ranging from anti-inflammatory to calming, stimulating, or even oxygenating the brain. 🌿

Lavender, for example:
⌁ reduces stress
⌁ supports slee
⌁ lowers blood pressure, and
⌁ eases headaches

And that’s just one example—there are hundreds more with unique benefits.

For senior living and mental health facilities, this isn’t just interesting science—it’s a practical, evidence-based way to reduce dementia-related agitation without relying on more medications.

That’s exactly what I share in my clinical-level training video:
“A Better Way to Ease Dementia without Adding More Meds.”

I asked women in senior living and healthcare:

What’s weighing on you the most right now?

Over 100 responses later, one thing stood out:

👉 44% said they’re constantly supporting everyone else first

Followed by:
• No time to reset (26%)
• Emotional exhaustion (22%)

This isn’t just about workload.

It’s about chronic nervous system strain.

Because when people are always “on” for others and never have space to reset…

It impacts everything.

Their mental health.
Their leadership capacity.
The entire environment around them.

That’s why supporting teams today isn’t just about adding more.

It’s about designing environments that actually support the people inside them.

Climbing a mountain will teach you this fast:

There’s always a hard.

The climb is hard.
But so is staying stuck.

The effort is hard.
But so is running on empty.

Lately I’ve been thinking about how this shows up in everyday life too—especially when it comes to stress, burnout, and well-being.

Sometimes the smallest shifts… a breath, a pause, a moment to reset… make the biggest difference.

CHOOSE YOUR HARD.

I don’t always have time for a full reset during the day.

But I’ve learned I need something to help me shift—especially between meetings, travel, and everything that comes with running a business.

This is one of the tools I reach for the most 👇

AromaWell Roll-Ons.

I keep one in my bag at all times.

Before a meeting, I’ll roll it onto my wrists and take a breath.
If I feel overwhelmed, I’ll apply it to my temples to reset.
At night, I use it to signal to my body that it’s time to slow down.

It’s simple but it works.

Because you’re not just applying a scent.

You’re giving your nervous system a cue:

“You’re safe. You can soften now.”

That’s what I love about aromatherapy.

It meets you in real moments—without needing extra time, effort, or a full routine.

✔️ pre-diluted and skin-safe
✔️ made with pure, high-quality essential oils
✔️ designed to support calm, focus, clarity, and rest

This is what I call wearable wellness.

Small bottle.
Big shift.

We also offer bulk and private label options for businesses, teams, and client gifting if you want to bring this kind of support into your environment or brand.

Can I share a secret?

Even in the care and wellness industry, where we encourage others to slow down, breathe, and restore—we’re often the worst at doing it for ourselves.

But here’s the truth: self-care isn’t indulgence, it’s endurance. The more we nurture ourselves, the stronger we show up for those who rely on us.

Here are 5 reminders I keep close:

1️⃣ Fuel your body. Hydration and real nourishment are what keep your focus sharp and energy steady.

2️⃣ Move with intention. A short walk, a stretch between tasks, or even a dance break resets the mind and body.

3️⃣ Get outside. Sunshine and fresh air have a way of lifting stress and restoring calm.

4️⃣ Honor your boundaries. Protecting your energy isn’t selfish—it’s what allows you to keep giving.

5️⃣ Celebrate progress. Pause to acknowledge even the smallest wins. They add up to meaningful impact.

✨ The secret is simple: when we care for ourselves, we model the very wellness we want for those we serve.

What happens when dementia patients smell this?

I’ve worked with individuals in advanced stages of dementia. People who have withdrawn into silence, their worlds shaped by confusion, disconnection, and isolation.

Caregivers gently guide them into a room.

Heads down.

Energy low.

Minimal engagement.

And then we introduce something simple…

A small aroma stick.

Infused with pure, intentional plant-based blends.

No pressure.

No expectation.

Just scent.

And then something shifts.

A pause.

A breath.

A softening in the body.

Sometimes it’s eye contact.

Sometimes it’s a word.

Sometimes it’s just presence returning, even for a moment.

And in those moments, you’re reminded:

This work isn’t about “fixing.”

It’s about reaching people where they are.

Because scent has a direct pathway to the brain by passing cognition and connecting to memory, emotion, and the nervous system.

That’s the power of aromatherapy when it’s done intentionally.

Not as fragrance.

But as a tool for connection, regulation, and care.

At AromaWell, this is what we design for every day—supporting both residents and the caregivers who show up for them.

Scent-Sational Pairings: Your Seasonal Mood Guide 🍃

Your environment shifts with the seasons…

and your nervous system feels it too.

One of the simplest ways to stay aligned?

Match your scents to the rhythm of the season.

Because aromatherapy isn’t just about fragrance. It’s about how you feel in your space.

Here are a few of my favorite seasonal blends:

🌸 Spring — Uplift & Reset
3 drops lavender + 2 lemon + 1 peppermint
→ Fresh, light, and energizing—perfect for clearing out winter heaviness

🌞 Summer — Bright & Alive
3 drops sweet orange + 2 bergamot + 1 eucalyptus
→ Uplifting, vibrant, and mood-boosting

🍂 Fall — Warm & Grounded
1 cinnamon + 2 clove + 3 orange
→ Cozy, comforting, and perfect for slowing down

❄️ Winter — Calm & Centered
3 frankincense + 2 cedarwood + 1 peppermint
→ Grounding, peaceful, and supportive during quieter seasons

✨ Pro tip:
Diffuse, roll onto pulse points, use as a room spray, or simply inhale when you need a reset.

Because seasonal living isn’t just about what’s outside.

It’s about how you support what’s happening inside.

✨ Save this so you can come back to it each season
✨ Share this with someone who loves aromatherapy
