A year of showing up.
Of shared spaces, hard conversations, laughter, learning, and moments that mattered.

Thank you to everyone who walked into these rooms with us this year. Every face, every story, every gathering shaped what this year became.

As we step into what’s next, we’re wishing you a peaceful 2026. One filled with steadier days, softer moments, and care that meets you where you are.

The holidays don’t feel the same for everyone.
If this season feels heavy, quiet, overwhelming, or complicated, you’re not doing it wrong.

These are just small reminders to meet yourself with a little more care, and a little less pressure.
However you’re getting through it is enough.

As the holidays arrive in full swing, we just want to pause and send warmth your way.
This season can bring comfort, noise, memories, and mixed emotions all at once. However this season is meeting you, we hope you’re being gentle with yourself.

May you find small moments of rest, honest connection, and quiet relief. And if joy feels close, we hope you let it in. If it doesn’t, that’s okay too.

Sending you warmth and care this holiday season.

For many of us, “I’m sorry” becomes second nature. Not always because we’ve done something wrong, but because it once felt safer to take up less space.

This is an excerpt from a piece by Jennifer Tran, a neurodivergent (AuDHD) contributor and volunteer for FAUNA Mental Health. She hopes to apply what she learns from her anthropological and interdisciplinary university courses to uplift people to open more discussions about mental health.

If this resonates with you, you can read the full blog post through the link in our bio.

Highlights from our fieldtrip to the

Learning about history is one way to understand the contexts in which mental health, wellness, trauma, and safety develop in communities. We cannot separate mental health from the history that we come from. 🔍

Sitting with it is not about being calm.
Most of the time, it’s messy. It’s uncomfortable. It’s that knot in your chest you’d rather ignore.

Sitting with it means letting a feeling exist without rushing to fix it.
Not pushing it away.
Not pretending you’re fine.
Not distracting yourself until it fades.

It’s giving your emotions a moment to breathe.
Even the ones that scare you.
Even the ones you don’t have words for yet.

It’s choosing to stay present long enough to understand what the feeling is trying to tell you.
Not to judge it.
Just to hear it.

Because healing doesn’t start when the pain disappears.
It starts when you stop running from it. ❤️‍🩹

Happy 3 year Fauna-versary!

3 years ago today, we launched FAUNA Mental Health Foundation, a non-profit dedicated for Asian mental health advocacy. FAUNA was born from a place of personal passion, professional experience, and a desire to tend to the wellbeing of the Asian community. The past 3 years have brought us so many incredible opportunities, collaborations, and moments of connection with volunteers, community members, and organizations! We look forward to even more connection and partnership in the coming years!

Thank you so much for your support so far, and please continue to support us as we work towards our mission of creating a space and voice for Asian mental health!

Being the strong one feels like a badge of honor, but it also comes with a quiet cost. The late nights no one sees. The pressure to smile when you’re breaking inside. The silence around your own needs.

Strength has carried you this far. But you deserve spaces where you don’t have to carry it all. Where you can be cared for too.

Sometimes our cultures teach us to shrink.
To quiet our feelings.
To harden up because softness is seen as weakness.

But your heart noticing so much…
your tears falling easily…
your voice carrying truth even when it shakes—none of that makes you “too much.”

It makes you human. It makes you alive.

And if you’ve ever felt like your sensitivity doesn’t belong, let this remind you: you are not too much. You are exactly enough. ❤️
