We are very excited to welcome a new clinician to RAIN Therapy Collective, Aimee Fertman! Aimee is a great speech therapist who brings a wealth of experience working with kids, teens, and adults with voice, speech (articulation), executive function, and language delays and disabilities. She will be a great addition to our team and has immediate openings, including coveted afterschool times! She is also in the process of getting paneled with insurance so in the very near future she’ll be able to bill insurance for Premera, Lifewise, Regence, First Choice, and Kaiser PPO plans. We'll be there hanging out from 2:00-4:00 PM, playing games, drawing on the sidewalk, face painting, chatting, eating delicious food and drinking delicious milkshakes! Happy National Stuttering Awareness Week!! Come celebrate and learn a little about stuttering this Sunday at Pike Place Market - the National Stuttering Association Seattle Adult and Family Chapters will be there spreading awareness, education, and advocacy. You might even win a prize! 🤩🏆

Happy pi day! Today both Kristen Leucuta and I (Tiffani) have fun facts to share relevant to today!

-Albert Einstein (whose discovery is responsible for our yummy celebrations today) was a stutterer!

-Pie can be a hard texture for a lot of clients who have feeding difficulties. Some reasons for this are because it has a lot of flavors together and, texture wise, pie is a mixed texture which can be challenging for eaters for have trouble with certain textures and/or when multiple textures are combined.

As you eat pie today, explore and embrace the unique flavors, smells, and textures associated with all of the different pies there are; and celebrate how amazing neurodivergent brains are and the important contributions they can make to our world! 💕🥧🍕🧠
