PART 4: Time to NOURISH 🍋🔋
Your energy tends to drop as your hormones reach their lowest point right before your period begins. There’s a natural invitation to slow down and turn inwards.
It’s a critical time to rest and reset. If we miss this opportunity cycle after cycle, we might just find ourselves burned out, exhausted and at the end of our rope. I know, I know, the world doesn’t slow down to match. You don’t have time.
But what if it wasn’t some unrealistic 5am routine? Honestly the idea of self care sort of falls flat now that it’s been so commercialized. Instead, think of this as like fueling up your car. You’re doing small things now so that you can show up later as the fullest most healthy version of yourself later.
What if you did just one thing every day of your period to restore and replenish your soul? Reading for fun, cooking something delicious and new, going for a walk with a podcast on.
When it comes to work & productivity, this is a really fascinating part of your cycle! Your intuition is heightened and you have a distinct ability to see the bigger picture. Connect to your analytical side and take a hard look at where you are and where you want to go.
This is an incredible opportunity to plan ahead. Your mind is open, your energy is on the rise as the days go by and ideas will start to flow easily. Make your lists, outline your projects and plan out your month. (I call this habit the Golden Day, and I have a whole template in my planner, coming out soon!!)
Nourish your body with bone broth, seaweed, coconut water, dark leafy greens, red fruits, black sesame seeds, dark chocolate and warming foods.
