Take a lesson from nature. Trees drop their leaves, they just let go. The leaves then turn to compost providing nutrients to soil, continuing the natural cycle of death. When we hold onto things, resist change, resist change, resist death, it causes suffering on so many levels.
It can show up in your body and mind in various ways…
- constipation (literally holding on to crap).
- ruminating thoughts
- the “coulda, shoulda, woulda’s” and then your shoulders get tight and tense

The earth season continued!

The spirit of Earth is Yi, which is the spirit of intention. The intention of plans, ideas and how they can become materialized in the physical world. It’s with the virtue of devotion that intention can be carried out. When we are devoted to a task, and idea, our dreams- they are more likely to materialize. Without intention and devotion, we can tend to mull over the same ideas without movement, overthink and worry.

This can lead to the inability to nourish those ideas through devotion and action.

If there is an imbalance of this sprit it can lead to issues in cultivating one’s true purpose in life. Feeling like you’re aimlessly wandering through life, not knowing which way to turn, where to go, the next step.
