Thank you to RN Renee B, volunteers and staff who created an amazing- and wildly popular Casino Party! Betting was fierce! It was great seeing residents share extra chips and $$ (laminated, of course!). Craps, Black Jack, fancy drinks and snacks. Residents are honing their skills for the next event.

Congratulations to former volunteer Mahlia who began volunteering in 2017 and returned after the 2020 pause. She volunteered again until she was accepted into the PA program at UW! This scholarship will provide resources to increase her understanding of underserved populations. We are so proud of you Mahlia!

While normally we’d rather have pictures full of our amazing people, the talented artists who decorated the dining room for the staff holiday appreciation breakfast insisted on some pictures of their celebratory efforts! We love our staff so much!

As the Winter Solstice nears, and we come close to the longest night, it's nice to see a few bright messages that have come across our desks. The typewritten note is from one of our first volunteers in 1993 and the white board message is from the family of a resident who died in the last months. Grateful for our staff and volunteers who make a difference in every interaction.
