During today’s class, I shared this awesome MRI video from highlighting the beauty and complexity of our breath.

My study and practice of breathwork over the past few years has led to a greater appreciation of the body and nervous system, and has evolved my practice as a physical therapist.

Gratitude to , , , , and others whose teachings have helped unlock new capacities in my mind 🧠 and lungs 🫁.

Check out Podcast on YouTube or wherever you listen to podcasts for a solid 40+ min of , , , and a walkthrough of some templates I’ve created. This one is new & outlines a structure for exercise programming & periodization.

This is one of my favorite exercises *of all time* and there’s even an emoji for it 🙆🏻‍♂️🙆🏽‍♀️. I made this for a friend and uploaded it to HEP2Go.

I love this exercise for a variety of reasons:
💫 nerve mobility (ulnar/median)
🌬 mindful breathing
🙆🏽‍♀️ thoracic extension and rib excursion
🙎🏻‍♂️ neck posture retraining
👨🏾‍💻 easy to do at work or home
🙇🏻‍♀️ great addition to a work break
🧗🏻‍♂️ great dynamic warmup or rest break for other exercises

⏱ 6 MINUTE WALK TEST is used across rehab settings as a measure of physical function. It has normative values from a study from Enright & Sherrill in 1998, which outlines a regression model based on patient characteristics. So, obviously, I made a Google Sheets calculator out of it!

Much to the dismay of students across healthcare disciplines, they’re often required to memorize the ⚡️ in order to gain a better understanding of neurological and musculoskeletal dysfunction of the arm.

I used to create a brachial plexus diagram containing key branches, segmentations, and innervations.

… is that it’s always changing. Not in a bad way, too, like every iOS or Facebook update that seem to shake people’s world up. Google apps evolve in a way that is sometimes difficult to notice. Changes appear suddenly, but they are often minor and do not prompt you 1000 times to restart your computer to install the update (who else clicks “Remind me tomorrow” on their computer at least 1x per day – because I do). You do not need to purchase the newest version of Google Docs or Sheets (*cough* Microsoft Office *cough*). You simply launch, create, repeat.
