🚨 Advocacy Call to Action for Delaware School Psychologists! 🚨

Delaware is facing a critical shortage of school psychologists, with many schools unable to meet the ratios outlined in state legislation. The recent discontinuation of Project GROW and other federal funding at the University of Delaware—a program that helped train and diversify our school psychologist workforce—makes this challenge even more urgent.

📢 We need YOUR voice to protect and expand the future of school-based mental health services, especially as it pertains to school psychologists.

âś… Use the NASP Advocacy Action Center to contact your federal representatives and speak up for continued investment in grants and programs that support the training and hiring of school psychologists:

đź“‹ Also, complete the LEA Survey on School-Based Mental Health (SBMH) & MTSS to help collect statewide data that strengthens our case for funding and support:

Your voice matters. Let’s advocate for the resources we need to support ALL Delaware students. 💙

Day 2 of the DASP Spring Conference was a wrap—and what a powerful way to close it out!

We had the honor of learning from Dr. Rebecca Branstetter, nationally renowned school psychologist, speaker, and creator of The Thriving School Psychologist. Her engaging session focused on streamlining our processes with AI and technology, while also diving into the science of burnout—equipping us with tools to stay effective, balanced, and thriving in our roles.

Despite the rain, spirits were high! We had a great time connecting, collaborating, and laughing with colleagues from across the state.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this conference so special. We’re already looking forward to seeing you all next year!

Day 1 of the DASP Annual Conference is in the books—and what a day it was!

We kicked things off with an inspiring keynote from Dr. Peter Faustino, NASP President, followed by important updates from UD and DASP leadership.

Attendees gained insights into Infinite Campus, deepened their understanding of Evaluation Summary Reports, and engaged in meaningful discussions with our poster presenters.

We wrapped up with an awards celebration honoring our incredible colleagues, and kept the connections going during a lively happy hour full of networking and fun!
