💥 Deadlift warm-up = strong hinge + safe back. Here’s a sequence to dial it in:

1️⃣ Close the car door: Stand tall, soften your knees, then push your hips backward like you’re closing a car door with your glutes. Keep your chest tall.
2️⃣ Dowel behind your back: Hold a dowel along your spine (head, mid-back, tailbone touching). Hinge at the hips without losing those 3 points of contact.
3️⃣ Dowel in front, past the knees: Hold the dowel in front like a barbell. Slide it down your thighs just past your knees, keeping it close and your back flat.
4️⃣ Kettlebell deadlift: Now load it! Grab the bell, hinge the same way, and drive through your heels to stand tall.

🔑 The goal: pattern first, then load.

🔥 Level up your squats with this full-body warm up! 🔥

Before you drop into those heavy reps, give your hips, spine, and ankles the love they need. A good warm up isn’t just about “getting loose,” it’s about activating the right muscles and building mobility where you need it most.

Here’s our go-to Squat Warm Up Flow:

1️⃣ Glute Bridge – wake up your glutes so they’re ready to drive you out of the hole.
2️⃣ 90/90 Hip Rotations – open up your hips and prep for depth.
3️⃣ Hip CARs – controlled hip circles for mobility + stability.
4️⃣ Deep Squat Hold – sit low and breathe into the stretch.
➕ Add Thoracic Rotation + Reach to unlock your upper back.
➕ Add Adductor Stretch to open the inner thigh.
5️⃣ Tib Anterior Raises – bulletproof your shins + boost ankle mobility.

💡 Do this flow before lifting, running, or even after sitting all day and you’ll feel the difference!

Dr. Chase completed his Preceptorship with Elevate at the end of 2024, working with patients on the rehab floor. He immediately felt like part of the team, and we knew he had to stay! He’s our resident yogi and has been teaching yoga professionally since 2014, specializing in traditional Hatha, power vinyasa, and creative flow. This study of the yogic practice led him on his academic journey, which culminated in his doctorate: a way to heal people beyond the boundaries of the practice. Chase’s goal is to deliver more than just chiropractic care; he wants to help patients align mind and body, and move from pain into health and empowerment. 💫
