It's real. I feel like I spent most of my childhood pushing myself to meet expectations and doing a horrible job at setting my own personal boundaries. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

How do we bounce back from that? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One thing we can do is BREATHE. Someone once pointed out to me that the physical manifestation of perfectionism is a tight ribcage. I resistant ribcage. Because god forbid it felt free. So to reset that perfectionist box you've put yourself in? BREATHE.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Try the box breathing for starters: 4 counts in, 4 count hold, 4 counts out, 4 count hold. This brings your power back into your breath and allows for you to set your own boundaries while staying in a place of ease. If you are connected to your breath, you are connected to you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A big thing I hear from my patients is that I’m not just a “wham bam thank you ma’am” type of chiropractor. I spend TIME to listen, understand and assess the body, the system, the person as a whole. That energetic resonance is important as a chiropractor, and as a healer in general. Show up for your people in full capacity. They’re truly just waiting to be heard.

Trust me, I've been there. I've been the victim and I've held onto that story HARD. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And this post isn't here to invalidate what you're going through. I find that a lot of people who come across this statement feel like they're being brushed off to "stop complaining," That's not it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I hear you. I feel you. Your voice is valid, your call for help is heard. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
