I don’t know why this quote always gets me, but I was sitting with it and reflecting on it today and just think it’s so true.

We’re in a season where grief is plastered all around us, on social media, on TV, from our friends… It’s heavy.

It’s important to hold space for that grief

We can’t push that grief aside and it’s worth honoring… But it does serve as a sacred reminder that there is so much to be thankful for

It’s a simple principle really.

When you love what you have you have all you need and that is what I think gratitude is all about

Some reframes ✨

November is a month to highlight gratitude.

One of the greatest and most elusive questions in life is: How can I be happy? We chase happiness in almost every action we take. These actions are often small and can lead to a small feeling of happiness.

Sometimes this happiness is fleeting, like the excitement of buying a new car that loses its luster after a few weeks. Sometimes that happiness is found in another person, be it for a short period of time or as our forever.

We chase happiness in material things, experiences, individuals, aesthetically — in nearly anything. We are constantly yearning to feel happiness, but we know one thing about happiness to be true: it is not automatic and we have to seek it.

Gratitude is a catalyst for finding that happiness 🧔

In honor of world mental health day, I wanted to share some thoughts.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Gratitude is not going to fix your problems.

Gratitude is a tool. An incredibly powerful, healing, helpful tool. It is so good for your mind and soul. The research and science proves it.

But it doesn’t mean it’s going to fix everything. Mental health is incredibly important. We are all going to have bad days and some of us have tougher days than others.

When we learn how to best handle our mental health struggles, we can grow through them and learn from them.

As someone who used to have anxiety, what felt like 24 seven, and gratitude has been incredibly impactful for me. I don’t use my gratitude journal every day believe it or not! My goal is 4 to 5 times a week.

It’s not perfect. But it’s perfect for me. If you or anyone you know, is struggling with their mental health please no, you’re not alone.

It gets better. And you’re worth it šŸ¤šŸ¤šŸ¤
