strength training is an essential to any fitness routine, regardless of age ladies....
to help you get the most out of your strength training routine, here are my three tips to keep in mind:
prioritize compound exercises: compound exercises, what are those you ask??? these are exercises that work multiple muscle groups simultaneously....such as squats, deadlifts, & bench presses. these exercises are highly effective for building strength. making them an excellent choice for women in their 40s who want to maintain a healthy weight & build muscle mass.
don't forget cardio: while strength training is essential, it's also crucial to incorporate cardiovascular exercise into your routine.
listen to your body: as you age, your body may not be able to handle the same level of intensity as it did in your 20s or 30s.so listen to your body & adjust your workout accordingly. rest days are just as important as workout days, so make sure to give your body the time it needs to recover.
so for my ladies in your 40s strength training is an excellent way for you to maintain you health & fitness.
so by prioritizing compound exercises, incorporating cardio into your routine, & listening to your body, you can build strength, increase endurance, & maintain a healthy weight well into your 40s & beyond.
