9/9 and celebrating 9! Sometimes I forget to post on this day, but everyday I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve women while doing what I love every single day! This career is not one that I've ever taken for granted! To be entrusted with your story, your crosses, your vulnerabilities, your fears and your GROWTH, is something I will forever cherish. Yes this is a job, but it's also my purpose. So thank you to every single client, past and present, and thank you to anyone that has ever believed that I could do this! Here's to the next 9!

Humans have a tendency towards negativity bias. This is because of our evolution. We reward resentment, negativity, fear, sadness, anger, and disgust because that keeps us alive.
Positive emotions are nice to have; negative emotions are critical for keeping us alive.
One of the most practical ways to get happier is to be realistic about what’s happening—to assess what’s going on in our lives and say, “You know what? I have a lot more to be grateful about than to be resentful about, and so I’m going to write down the things for which I’m going to be grateful.”
We can raise our happiness between 10% and 25% within the next ten weeks by just writing down and paying attention that we should be more grateful than resentful.

I am Jennifer Brady, a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Maryland and North Carolina and have been working in the mental health field since 2001. I provide in office counseling in Severna Park, MD and also offer online/virtual counseling to both Maryland and North Carolina residents.
I empower women from young adulthood through middle age to find their inner voice and become the deepest, truest versions of themselves.
My counseling style is warm and inviting while focusing on a holistic approach to treating the issues at hand. My main theoretical approaches to therapy are cognitive behavioral (CBT) and mindfulness based. My number one goal is to treat clients as a whole person, mind, body and soul, not just a symptom.
My work is highly individualized to meet each client’s needs and goals. Together, we will set goals and develop the tools needed for you to crush them.
