EJ will be competing in the 2026 Transplant Games in Denver next month!!

His events are Co****le and darts.

We have never been to Colorado and are going to try and pack as light as possible.

What are some must haves for the planes and the trip itself? For the mommas what did you bring on a trip or wish you would have brought in hindsight that would have made traveling/flying with 3 kids easier?

We are going to use space bags to be able to pack more in the bags we plan on checking. And buy all toiletries once we get there. But any and all advice is welcome and wanted! As you can tell we don't travel much and the younger 2 have only flown once each (well technically twice to Florida and then back). @

EJ went to transplant this morning. His creatinine is 2.55 and his kidney is functioning at 19%.
He still needs to drink more water but I'll take it!

EJs labs came back and all is good! Creatinine is down to 2.4! We go back in a few weeks to have them rechecked. Just keep encouraging him to stay hydrated!

EJ got labs last week and his creatinine was 3.5 which makes his kidney function at 17%. We go back tomorrow for more labs to see if it's trending down or still the same. As long as the creatinine hasn't gone up or the kidney function hasn't declined, we're good.

Tomorrow EJ will be going back to his normal routine. School is still closed for spring break but he will be going to the drop in place he goes to for before and after care.
I absolutely love this place. They are amazing. There are very few people/places I trust with EJ but I know he is in good hands there and I think it will be a good test run to make sure he can make it through the school day at least for a few hours and he will get to see some of his friends. I know he will be exhausted when he gets home but I think getting back into a normal routine will be good for him.
We will start out with a few hours and see how he does.
He did pretty good today otherwise. He did take a short nap in the car but stayed awake for most of the day and ate more today than he has in weeks. Small steps and progress each day!
