Activities in Child care:
In my program, I try to do activities that are appropriate for each age group. Preschool is included for all ages. I order a curriculum for children ages 2 years old and older. My curriculum teaches but is not limited to learning the alphabet, numbers, counting, colors, shapes, early writing, etc. Included in circle time are lots of songs, finger plays, etc as well as calendar, weather, flannel board activities, etc. Infants and 1 year olds have a personally tailored program that meets their needs and developmental stage. I feel that the children learn by experience and I try to encourage them to do the very best that they each can. My program is semi-structured, which enables the children to use their imaginative skills while choosing things to do during free play and allows them to interact with other children more personally. The children spend some time outside each day, weather permitting. Most importantly, we follow Jesus.

A typical day at Little Mountain Movers:

Childcare opens at 7am

7-8 Arrival
8-8:45 Prayer and breakfast
8:45-9:15 Free play
9:15-9:45 Circle Time (songs, finger plays, calendar, weather, etc)
9:45-10:15 Guided play/Learning centers
10:15-11 Preschool lesson/art
11-11:30 Free play
11:30-12:15 Prayer and Lunch
12:15- 1 Clean up/Story time
1-3 Nap
3:15 Prayer and Snack
3:45- 4:30 Outside play/Departure

Childcare closes at 4:30
Each child receives up to 9 hours per day within the hours of operation.

Note: Our schedule will flex when needed based on our activities and the needs of the children.
*Infants are napped according to their needs and their own schedule.
