l've been getting a lot of questions and the answer is... Yes!!! I am doing a plant sale this year!

I don't have all of the details hashed out quite yet, but here's what I can tell you:

~The date will tentatively be the first Saturday in May (weather dependent).
~Location is TBD (somewhere in Oak Run).

Winter squash
Pumpkins

CSA Vegetable Box Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is it?
~ Subscribers support our farm by purchasing a share of our season’s vegetables and receiving a box of fresh produce each week!

2. When does it start and end?
~The program will run approximately mid-April-October, with exact start and end dates TBD.

3. How much does it cost?
~ Half box: $20/week
~ Full box: $40/week

4. How many can a half or a full box feed?
~ This is highly dependent on how much vegetables you eat, but in general a half box can feed a family of two and a full box can feed a family of four.

5. Is it just vegetables?
~ The boxes will be mostly vegetables and culinary herbs, but you can add on a weekly bouquet for $15/week 🌼

6. How do I get my box?
~ Pick up window will be Tuesdays 3-6pm at our farm on Bullskin Road in Oak Run. I am considering offering a delivery option to a pick up point in Palo Cedro as well, if there is enough interest. If you’d like this option, please let me know!

7. What if I am on vacation or cannot pick up my box for some reason?
~ Each subscriber gets two “miss” weeks through out the season, in which you can miss your box without payment. After that if you must miss more weeks a great option is to gift your box to a friend or family member- they’ll love it!

8. How do I sign-up?
~ Sign-up opens January 10th - send an email to shendrix08@gmail.com to let me know you’d like to join! Space is limited so make sure to mark your calendar so you don’t miss out!

Got questions? I’d love to hear them! 🙌
Thank you for supporting our family farm!

Why invest in a CSA share?!

Well there are a lot of reasons, but one is that you get to know your farmer! Yes, your farmer! The real live person who put their hands in the Earth and lovingly grew the food that will nourish you and your family.

You can say to yourself as you chop up that juicy tomato, "the woman who grew this has two daughters and she likes to hike around the woods and knit!"

Or you can go down to Costco and buy your vegetables (and truly no judgement because I certainly shop at the grocery store my fair share), but Costco is not going to do a happy dance when you buy their vegetables. They just won't. But the lady who loves to bake bread and grow flowers... she will definitely do a happy dance! 💃

Know your farmer ~ it's a radical act these days🙌

If it feels good to share this post, please do, it means a lot 💛

🙌 2026 Sunny Valley Farm CSA 🙌

I am so excited to share that once again I will be offering my CSA next year!

What is CSA?!
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, and essentially means that the community members who buy into a share of the farm’s produce are supporting that farmer by committing to purchase their produce all season long.

The CSA member then receives a box of ultra fresh, super nutrient dense, locally grown produce each week.

How does CSA actually support a farmer?
By running a CSA, I know exactly how much to grow and I know for certain that everything I grow is already spoken for. This leads to much less waste. It’s a wonderful model!

I will be sprinkling out posts with more details over the next month. If you are super stoked and want to know it all right now shoot me a message and I’ll send you the entire program description.

Sign-ups start January 10th! 🌱

Have questions? Drop them in the comments and I’ll be happy to chat with you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you as always for your support.

Ps ~ If you are feeling extra kindhearted and wonderful, it would be lovely if you’d share this post so that others can learn about my CSA! 💛
