❄️ Snow Shoveling Safety Tips

After a snowstorm, protecting your back is just as important as clearing your driveway. Follow these simple tips to prevent strain and injury:

1. Warm Up First
Cold muscles are tight muscles. Take 5–10 minutes to stretch your arms, legs, and lower back before heading outside.

2. Push, Don’t Lift (When Possible)
It’s easier on your spine to push the snow rather than lift it. If you must lift, take smaller loads.

3. Lift with Your Legs, Not Your Back
Bend at your knees and hips, keep your back straight, and tighten your core. Avoid rounding your lower back.

4. Keep the Load Close
Hold the shovel close to your body and avoid reaching too far forward.

5. Don’t Twist
Turn your whole body with your feet instead of twisting at the waist.

6. Pace Yourself
Take frequent breaks. Snow shoveling is more strenuous than many people realize — especially in cold temperatures.

7. Stay Hydrated
Even in cold weather, your body needs water.

8. Stop if You Feel Pain
Sharp or persistent pain is a warning sign. Don’t push through it.

Beginning with your first appointment in 2026, an updated financial policy will need to be signed at check-in. Good news: once it’s signed, you’re all set for the rest of the year!

If your insurance has changed for 2026, please be sure to bring your updated insurance card with you.

📅 Christmas Eve: Out of office after 1:00 PM
📅 Christmas Day through Sunday: December 24th – December 27th (Office closed)
📅 Monday, December 29: Back in the office

✨ Additional Closures:
📅 New Year’s Eve: Out of office after 12:00 PM
📅 New Year’s Day: Office closed

After New Year’s Day, regular office hours will resume as usual.
