Heather received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2003 from the University of Indianapolis. Upon graduating, she developed an interest in Manual Therapy and enhanced her credentials by obtaining a national certification as a Certified Integrated Manual Therapist in 2005. She began working for Team Rehab in 2010 specializing in the treatments of orthopedic conditions as well as TMJ and vestibular rehab. Heather is also certified in a soft tissue mobilization technique called ASTYM.
Joe graduated with his Masters in Physical Therapy degree from Wayne State University in 2002. He worked in the St. John-Providence Health System for 14 years specializing in outpatient orthopedics and has treated patients of all ages with various musculoskeletal issues. Joe enjoys treating a wide range of orthopedic diagnoses by utilizing manual techniques and therapeutic exercise along with specific interventions that incorporate body mechanics, biomechanics, and postural awareness to aide in the treatment of the spine and extremities. He enjoys treating a wide range of orthopedic injuries including post-surgical care, sports related injuries, and spinal care.
Sharla Buza - Physical Therapist
Shar received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Oakland University in 1999. She is an ACE certified personal trainer and Lifestyle Fitness Coach and was the Director of Fitness Testing & Training for the Sterling Heights Fire Department for 3 years. Shar’s many continuing education courses include the specialties: Women’s Health Physical Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Visceral Mobilization, Golf Fitness, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Frequency Specific Microcurrent, and Reiki. Her program, “Move to Improve,” provides proven treatment techniques and exercise to help the growing number of patients with chronic inflammatory conditions and illnesses such as Lyme Disease.
Jessica Halverson - Physical Therapist
Jessica received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Oakland University in 2011. She has a strong background in orthopedic manual therapy. She specializes in spine and extremity care, sports injuries, and pre & post-surgical care and Parkinson’s disease rehabilitation. Jessica uses an evidence-based approach in the clinic and enjoys educating her patients on their condition and treatment plan. She is certified in kinesiotaping which she uses to treat various diagnoses including tennis elbow, patellar tracking issues, plantar fasciitis, spine injuries, shoulder instability, postural issues, etc. Jessica is LSVT BIG certified in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. She is also certified in a soft tissue mobilization technique called ASTYM.
Dan Parker - Physical Therapist
Dan received his Bachelors in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2013 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Oakland University in 2016. He enjoys working with a wide variety of patients in the outpatient orthopedic setting including athletes as he comes from an athletic background in swimming, cycling, and distance running. He also has experience with stroke and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and is trained in work hardening/conditioning.
Christine Gavel - Physical Therapist
Christine received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wayne State University in 2014, is group suspension training certified in TRX, SFMA Level 1 certified, and ASTYM certified. She has a strong background with outpatient orthopedic and pediatric populations. Christine comes from an athletic background, especially volleyball, and enjoys getting to know and work with patients of all ages.
