Sharon Kay Boehm, 83, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 1:35 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital in Coles County, Illinois.
Sharon was born on March 31, 1942, in rural Ramsey, Fayette County, IL, to James Sollis Bolt and Bonnie Lou (Roberts) Bolt. She graduated from Cowden High School in the Class of 1960. She married Everett Boehm on October 8, 1960, together raising four children: Kevin (Teri), Keith (Julie), Randy (Theresa), and Robin (Don Higgins). She and Everett have twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Sharon worked as a CNA at Shelby Memorial Hospital for 32 years, until her retirement. She was a member of the Shelbyville First Church of the Nazarene for many years. Sharon was the anchor for her family, always insisting her family come over for a home cooked meal.
She survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her brother, Ronald Bolt of Villa Grove, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held at noon on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IL with Pastor Greg Breeden officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - noon Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Shelby County Animal Control and Care Center.
