USDA Seeks Applications for Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grants

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced on April 5, 2021 that it is accepting applications for Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) program grants to help provide educational and medical services in rural areas. Applications are due June 4, 2021.

"Patients at hospitals with telestroke consults got better care, more likely to survive." All of our ITN telestroke members have seen improved outcomes for their stroke patients through use of telemedicine.

The first national analysis shows patients at hospitals that offer remote stroke consults fare and were more likely to survive than patients who presented at hospitals without stroke telecare.

Chicago, Illinois: On Monday, December 7, The Partnership for a Connected Illinois (PCI), announces its 2020 Awards for Excellence in Telehealth Leadership. This year, Governor J.B. Pritzker receives awards for improving policy changes to advance telehealth and for advancing telehealth by innovation. In addition to presenting an award to Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, two awards will be presented to recognize organizations that have made exceptional contributions to advancing telehealth in Illinois to provide care to underserved urban and rural populations.
Policy & Innovation: This year’s awards showcase Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker for Excellence in Telehealth Leadership for Improved Policy Changes to Advance Telehealth and for Advancing Telehealth by Innovation.
