Support local food production. Build a bed on May 20th.

Build something that grows 🌱

Join us for our Build-a-Bed Work Party at the Shelton Family YMCA on Wednesday, May 20 at 9am! We’re coming together to prep our community garden space and build raised beds that will support local food production for seasons to come.

Roll up your sleeves and help clear the space, move materials, and assemble garden beds—no experience needed, just a willingness to pitch in. Come for an hour or stay all day—every bit of help makes a difference.

🛠 What to bring: clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, closed-toe shoes, gloves (if you have them), water, and snacks.

Let’s grow something meaningful—together. 🌿

Fresh produce benefits for older adults are going quick.

Our Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program provides $80 in fruits and vegetables to older adults who meet program rules.

Applications opened April 15. By day two, one-third of the benefit cards for Lewis, Mason and Thurston counties were claimed. One week later, applications passed the halfway mark. Now, three-quarters are gone. All are new records.

If you're an older adult in need of fresh food, apply today at [link]: lmtaaa.org. Age and income requirements can also be viewed through the link.
