On Wednesday, January 28th we will have our club picture taken in the auditorium at 1:15 so please be there if you can!
Also, this week we are meeting after school on Thursday the 29th in 237 WITH the Art Club. We will be working on our peace project. 😃

Philanthropist MacKenzie Scott has gifted $45 million to The Trevor Project, a nonprofit that supports LGBTQ+ youth, after the federal government cut $25 million in funding to the organization.

Happy New Year, Everyone!!
We will be meeting on Monday, January 5th in Room 233 after school.
We will be discussing further ideas for a school-wide "Peace Project", so please bring any ideas and resources you have been researching!
I will have some to share with you as well!
If you weren't at our last meeting that is OK, we will fill you in!

Good news: Marriage is still the law of the land 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ The Supreme Court refused to hear a case that sought to challenge the freedom to marry for LGBTQ+ folks in the U.S., reaffirming that marriage equality is our right. This is a win that we deserve to celebrate today. And, at the same time, we must stay focused on protecting and supporting one another through the continued threats against our community at federal, state, and local levels.

90% of LGBTQ+ youth said recent politics negatively impacted their mental health. As q***r and transgender young people continue to face real, everyday challenges, The Trevor Project remains committed to supporting them 24/7.

Our work to create a brighter future for LGBTQ+ youth is a marathon, not a sprint. Let’s celebrate today’s victory, and vow to keep showing up, speaking out, and fighting for the world we deserve.
