Thank you Sheridan Press for the nice article in today's paper!
In a world where you can choose how you show up and how you spend your time, it's nice to find a way to give back and bring people together!
For me, World Vets not only introduced me to amazing people around the globe, but also people right here in my own community I likely would have never met otherwise! Including two other great local veterinarians I will always admire! ๐พ๐๐
For over a decade Dr. Cindy Hager and I have worked in the same profession, in the same community and sadly had never met! I will be forever grateful World Vets brought us together.
World Vets also led me to meet Dr. Christa Branch, a retired veterinarian! A year ago, I saw her name on the organizations website and began to google who this other Wyoming veterinarian was. I learned she was in the area, messaged her and right away we had a coffee date set up! At the time she had just returned from the Galapagos trip. Next week, she will be departing on her second World Vets trip, this time to Guatemala.
I can't leave out the treat it was to also travel and work alongside longtime friend, technician and past office manager Hanna Mudder.
My life is forever richer.
If you are interested in learning more or interested in getting involved yourself, even if you are not directly linked to the veterinary industry, there is a volunteer spot for you.
