November is Diabetes Awareness Month 💙🩺
Diabetes occurs when the body either doesn't produce enough insulin—a hormone that helps move glucose into your cells for energy—or cannot effectively use the insulin it makes.
According to the Wyoming Department of Health, about 8% of Wyoming adults have been diagnosed with diabetes. Here in Sheridan County, that number is closer to 11%.
