Did you know? Underage drinking can seriously affect brain development, school performance, and safety. Research shows that youth ages 12โ€“20 use alcohol more than any other substance--and the younger someone starts, the higher the risk of long-term problems.

The best prevention? Teamwork. Preventing underage drinking works best when families, schools, and communities work together to talk openly, set clear expectations, provide safe activities, and support policies that protect youth.

It's National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week! ๐Ÿ“Š ๐Ÿšจ

This week marks an annual observance launched to help teens, families, and communities learn the science behind substance use and addiction and separate myths from facts. The goal is simple but powerful: empower young people with accurate information so they can make informed, healthy decisions.

Today weโ€™re highlighting findings from the 2024 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, released by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. A snapshot of behavioral health, substance use, and treatment trends across the United States, these numbers remind us why education, prevention, and open conversations are so important.

Throughout the week, weโ€™ll be sharing facts, resources, and insights to help youth and families better understand substance use, mental health, and ways to support healthier choices.
