Getting Beyond Burnout: A Workshop for Everyone in Healthcare

Burnout isn’t about one bad shift or the wrong job. There are three core factors that keep healthcare workers stuck in the cycle, and until you understand the first two, you’ll keep sliding back into overwhelm no matter where you work.

This workshop will help you:

• Understand the three key components of burnout
• Identify your symptoms and what they mean
• Build a personalized plan with tools that actually support your nervous system
• Reclaim a sense of control in both work and home life

Healthcare is uniquely stressful and deeply human work. If you’re constantly overwhelmed, understaffed, overextended, or carrying emotional fatigue home with you, this space is for you.

You’ll learn how your nervous system, coping skills, and work culture interact — and how to soothe that internal chaos so you can breathe, reset, and make sustainable change.

Nurses receive 1.5 CEs through Debriefing the Front Lines.
Open to all healthcare staff: nurses, midwives, caregivers, doulas, medical assistants, admin teams, and anyone who supports patient care.

🍵 Tea as Nervous System Medicine: How mindful sipping resets your stress response

When you’re running on empty, your nervous system isn’t just tired. It’s overworked.

It’s been stuck in “go” mode for so long that it’s forgotten how to rest.

That’s where something as simple as tea can become medicine.

When you slow down enough to hold a warm mug in your hands, take a breath, and sip slowly, you’re doing more than relaxing. You’re retraining your body to feel safe again.

🌿🌺 Herbs like chamomile, lemon balm, skullcap, and oat straw gently tell your nervous system, you can stand down now. 🌿🌺

They nourish depleted adrenal and nerve tissue, lower cortisol, and support the parasympathetic “rest and digest” state. This is the state that helps your body repair after long stretches of stress.

Hi, I’m Doris Taylor, RN, BSN, Speaker, Educator, Burnout Specialist, and Herbalist.

I spent more than 20 years working in healthcare.
I know what it feels like to give everything you have to others until there’s nothing left for yourself.
I’ve lived the exhaustion, the irritability, and the quiet burnout that creeps in when you’re just trying to keep going.

After walking through my own cycles of burnout many times, I realized something important.
We don’t need more self-care tips.
We need nervous system support, real community, and practical tools that fit into the realities of healthcare life.

That’s why I created MoonShine Wellness.

I teach healthcare professionals how to move from chronic stress to sustainable recovery through education, gentle integration practices, and herbal support that nourishes both body and mind.

Through my Healing Huddles, workshops, and speaking engagements, I help nurses, medical and dental teams, caregivers, and wellness professionals understand what burnout really is, how to recognize it early, and how to recover without guilt or shame.

As an herbalist, I craft teas and body oils that support the nervous system, offering a simple way to come home to yourself in moments of overwhelm.

When we learn to care for ourselves differently, we change the way we care for everyone else.
