Happy Tuesday! What a terrific group we had at this week's BNI Lagniappe meeting. BNI referrals have generated over $2,000,000 in closed business in about 9 months...just in the Shreveport/Bossier City area. This is a hard working group of professionals!

Get to know us in BNI Lagniappe!

Lee Aronson is an attorney at Lineage Law, LLC, an estate and business planning law firm serving clients throughout the State of Louisiana. He has been practicing law in Shreveport for 20 years and can be reached at (318) 868-4248 and at lee@lineagelaw.com.

When Lee first graduated from Tulane law school, he went to work for a little known State agency out of The Office of the Governor called The Mental Health Advocacy Service. There he saw first-hand what a devastating effect Alzheimer's and other mental illnesses have not only on a patient, but also the patient’s entire family. People who had worked hard all of their lives but had not planned properly ended up in nursing homes against their will while their families struggled emotionally and financially.

Lee then went to work for Legal Services of North Louisiana, a non-profit law firm. And again, he saw families with heartbreaking stories. The clients that affected Lee the most were the children or grandchildren trying to help a loved one but were running into red tape and legal obstacles. And to make matters worse, sometimes those legal obstacles were caused by the parent or grandparent having paid for bad professional advice.

In order to help, Lee practiced in many different areas of the law, including health care law, consumer protection law and housing law. By necessity, Lee also practiced in more obscure areas of the law such as property tax law and burial and cremation law. In addition to practicing, Lee also writes an award winning monthly legal column for The Best of Times.

Because many of Lee’s clients are elderly or in poor health, he often makes referrals to home health agencies, hospices and assisted living facilities.

Get to know us in BNI Lagniappe!

Ellie Digiacomo, of Kary Landry State Farm Insurance.

Ellie's been with Kary Landry State Farm for the past four years, and she'll tell you right off that she has the best job in the world. Holding the Property/Casualty Insurance seat in the BNI Lagniappe Chapter, she prides herself on building relationships with her customers. Ellie works hard to better understand how to help manage her customers risk of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and to help them realize their dreams.

Ellie's attention to her customers extend beyond 8-5 in the office. Through State Farm, she's very active in supporting Toys For Tots, Relay For Life, Susan G. Komen, and Celebrate My Drive, which awarded a grant to Parkway High School last year for $25,000.

Aside from work, Ellie’s a self-proclaimed history nerd who enjoys photography, kayaking, and enjoying life with her three kids. She’s also a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force where she served as a Ground Radio Maintenance Technician.
