Yesterday was and I have to say, even though I didn’t even know it was a thing before yesterday I was happy to have an excuse to throw on my favorite shade!
You all know I recently transitioned out of the Army and picked up from New York and put our little camper on land in Arizona. I love it. I’m still going to school with future aspirations as a nurse, but in the meantime I’m working as a Sommelier at an ultra-premium winery in the gorgeous Sonoita Wine Region. This is literally a dream.
Life is short. Wear the lipstick. Work your dream job. Be kind always.

One of our favorite products that has lasted us FOREVER. This is from ‘s baby line, and at 2 and a half we still love using it on Hudson’s sensitive skin.
Oddly enough, we had to get special approval for him to use this lotion because it wasn’t on the pre-approved list of basic care items the installation has.
Ya know what was on the list? Products that have known common irritants, high amounts of bioaccumulation, endocrine disrupters, and advertised use-restrictions.
I do the research to make sure the products I’m using are safe for myself and my kids. I’m also completely okay with others that choose not to do the same—it is a personal choice, but I hope one day we will be at the point that we don’t have to search through our ingredients for hidden things like “fragrance”. But I also hope that it becomes less of a hassle to use SAFER products just because the people that prescribe these lists haven’t heard of them.

Having a camper puts a new meaning to 🤣
In all seriousness, it was so fun and exciting (and nerve wracking) to get ready for an interview this morning. Even though it was for what I would consider a “fun” job, it was my first real interview outside of the military since I was 18 years old.
So I dug through my staples and put together a with my favorites. I even had a cooperative toddler!

Yay for good skincare! Took me 30 years to find a routine that worked for me and that I’ve stuck with, and even after my initial start I’ve continued using and seeing results. The first picture is my before and after for Countertime! The second picture is continuing to use a regimen and working specifically on my dark circles with Countermatch eye cream.

Sunrise at Monahans Sandhills State Park in Texas this morning.
Headed out from our last stop before we arrive at our destination today! The past week has been filled with so many wonderful memories for us and Hudson. Ohio -> Tennessee -> Texas -> lots of Texas -> Arizona! Let’s see how this whole skipping-two-time-zones-in-one-day goes 🤪
