Today, we pause to honor the beautiful life and memory of Elijah-Alavi Silvera as we celebrate his birthday in heaven 😇💜 Elijah’s life was a bright light, tragically extinguished by a preventable food allergy reaction after being exposed to an allergen at his childcare center.

In the face of devastating loss, Elijah’s family has become a pillar of strength and resilience. Through their grief, they established the Elijah-Alavi Foundation, a powerful force dedicated to food allergy safety, education, and advocacy.

The foundation has been instrumental in making the world a safer place for kids with food allergies through initiatives like Elijah's Law—critical legislation designed to enhance allergy safety in childcare environments.

To learn more about the Elijah-Alavi Foundation, its initiatives, or ways to support this critical mission, please visit elijahalavifoundation.org. Your support—whether through sharing this story or making a donation—can make a lasting impact for kids with food allergies.

Though Elijah’s time on this earth was brief, his life continues to be a catalyst for change. Please share Elijah’s story and help make a difference 💜

Emilia began TIP in 2020 with multiple food allergies, including milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish. 🥛🥚🥜🐟

The journey wasn’t easy — long hours of preparation and treatment days that felt exhausting at times.
But through consistency, perseverance, and support, Emilia reached remission in June 2025. ✨🎉

Today, her family is experiencing what Andreea describes as food freedom — and looking ahead with excitement and hope.

Stories like Emilia’s remind us that even on the hardest days, every step forward matters. ✨ .

When Katarina began experiencing a severe anaphylactic reaction at home after eating a chocolate bar, her daughter Matilda didn’t panic; she acted.
With Matilda’s help, Katarina used her EpiPen. When symptoms continued to worsen, Matilda immediately called for an ambulance, followed the call-taker’s instructions, and administered a second EpiPen. When an ambulance arrived, Matilda calmly guided paramedics to her mom and explained everything that had happened.
Thanks to Matilda’s courage, quick thinking, and knowledge of her mom's allergy emergency plan, Katarina was stabilised and transported to hospital for monitoring.
“Til is only 12 years old, yet she showed maturity, courage, and calm that many adults would struggle to maintain,” Katarina shared.
This story is a powerful reminder: teaching kids what to do in an allergy emergency can save a life.
Have the conversation. Practice the plan. Make sure everyone knows where epinephrine is and how to use it.
