The Briar Cliff Clinic is a student-run, pro-bono clinic that provides free physical therapy services to people in Siouxland who are uninsured, underinsured or whose benefits have run out. The clinic is organized and run by doctoral students of the physical therapy program* at Briar Cliff. While the students are providing you quality care, they're also developing hands-on educational skills and kn
owledge of physical therapy, under the guidance of University faculty. We provide services to patients of all ages, from children to older adults. A Spanish-speaking physical therapist and child care services are available on request. Patient areas of need often include, but are not limited to,
Post-operative joint pain (hip & knee replacements, etc.) Muscle pain
Sports injuries
Arthritis
Amputations
Balance and movement issues
Heart and lung conditions
Neurological issues (ALS, brain injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injury, stroke)
Wellness programs to enhance and maintain mobility and function
For patients that are uninsured or underinsured, a screening process to identify financial need will be required prior to administering care at the clinic. If you qualify for the need-based option, physical therapy care will be offered at no charge. Walk-ins will also be accepted during clinic hours (5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesdays & Thursdays)

**Effective April 29, 2015, the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Briar Cliff University has been granted Candidate for Accreditation status by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (1111 North Fairfax Street, Alexandria, VA, 22314; phone: 703-706-3245; email: accreditation@apta.org). Candidate for Accreditation is a pre-accreditation status of affiliation with the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education that indicates that the program is progressing toward accreditation and may matriculate students in technical/professional courses.
