Sometimes people say, “that’s not my experience.”
And while that may be true… it can still land heavy.
Trauma isn’t about what happened. It’s about what your body learned when safety was missing.
Two people can walk through the same fire and come out carrying completely different scars. That doesn’t make one person stronger than the other. It makes both people human.
I wrote this article because I’ve seen how quickly comparison can silence someone’s healing.
