Hey all! It's snowing where I'm at. I keep reminding myself that it's normal and supposed to snow in December but somehow, I'm still not really ready for this snow. Today's brought to y'all in the form of a cup of tea.
Lately, I've been finding myself reaching for this tea since fall kicked in. It's nothing fancy and not overly hard to make, yet it warms and soothes in a way that makes you feel like this is truly a labor of love to make.
If you're craving something warm and cozy, give this a try. 🕉️✌️
Added mindfulness: When you are making this tea, do nothing else but focus on process. Take time to select your cup, enjoy combining the ingredients, take a few cycles of box breath while the tea is steeping, and most importantly, note your first sip of tea. Turn this in a moment for yourself.
Ingredients:
1 cinnamon tea bag or loose leaf. Decaf or caffeinated, it's up to you. I used the Bigelow Hot Cinnamon.
1/2 of a lemon juiced.
Ginger to taste. I use fresh ginger with a micro-plane. I'm sure this could work with a bit of powder or in pre-grated ginger.
Mix the lemon and the ginger together in your mug.
Make your tea. Allow the team to steep for the recommended time or your preference on taste. (I go a couple minutes) Give it a stir and enjoy.
