Baby wearing can be such a life saver especially if you:

✨ want to do skin to skin time (‼️This stimulates milk production‼️)

✨want a little movement without leaving you’re little one

✨ have older children/ family to tend to

💡Did you know you can breastfeed while baby wearing? Ofcourse, this will depend on the age of your baby (older ➡️ likely easier), type of carrier & comfort level).

It’s Black Breastfeeding Week & I am so happy to dedicate my life to supporting mothers/parents who want to breastfeed/chestfeed/ pump as LONG as they desire!

This started in response to the disturbing health disparities in the black community and the lack of representation in the lactation field.

This week, we highlight the amazing work being done to address these issues, promote black breastfeeding awareness, and support initiatives helping Black families meet their goals!

Pictured here are the top 2 reasons why I became an IBCLC!

But also because:

1. As new mom, I got some GREAT advice (from you guessed it- an IBCLC!) and some not so great advice from a whole slew of other people! Getting EXPERT care is what truly helped me meet my breastfeeding goals!

2. Breastfeeding transformed me in so many ways! It helped me gain so much confidence as a mother & taught me that I am freaking RESILIENT! I want to help parents overcome challenges and feel empowered too!

3. It opened my eyes to the incredible everyday miracles of the human body & I got hooked! Yet, as women our bodies are undermined by society and we are bombarded with misinformation. I believe providing ACCURATE information & compassionate care can make a world of difference in anyone’s breastfeeding journey!
