I am His child. The one who moves mountains, loves me.

On this Mother’s Day, I’m reminded that as much as I yearned for my babies in those quiet years and as much as I love my boys today, my God loves us even more than that.

He loves them more than I ever could.

He loves you more than you can ever imagine.

He wanted us to be in this world. He desires for us to know Him and recognize His voice. He cares about your feelings.

Praying you feel that deep today and forever.

Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness. 🩵

Not one time has He broken a promise. Not once.

Your God is faithful. He hears you. He is who He says He is. And He doesn’t break His vow to you.

When it feels like there is discouragement or disappointment, hold tight to the truth that He won’t let you down. Never.

We think it’s on us. This week so many times I felt the weight and pressure of having it all together.

But it’s not for me to take on. My job is to let Him do the fighting. Let Him do the miracles. Let Him show up BIG.

I only need to cling to Him and let Him fight for me.

The same is true for you.

There’s something I tell my kids probably more than anything… so much so that Cole says it to me now before I can get the words out.

Me: “Do you know how much I love you?”
Cole: “Yes, but tell me.”
Me: “I love you so much that…”
Cole: “I know, mom, and God loves me even more somehow.”

My prayer for them that they would never desire to seek approval or praise from anyone, including us…but that they would know that no matter what a human thinks about them, God loves them more. Gods love is the only love that will actually nourish and grow and sustain them in this life. No matter who comes in and out of their life, God is their only constant. He never changes which means His love for them cannot be changed. I want them to always know that people will disappoint them. It’s inevitable. But God will never disappoint them. He won’t let them down. He is their go to.

The same is true for you. No one can EVER love you like He loves you.

Fact: He will never leave you

As I lean into His Truths for myself this year, I want to share them with you…because they are true for you.

We think we need to hold it and keep it and take care of it. Whatever the “its” are for you. But He calls us to more. He actually calls us to less. Hold on to less. Fix less. Worry less.

Lean into this Truth today and let it go. HE CAN HANDLE IT! And better than you can…

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.“ 1 Peter 5:6-7

This year I’ve not felt rushed or on some sort of timeline. For a minute there, I felt like maybe I wouldn’t pick one. I don’t want to do things because it’s trendy or seemingly the “right” way to insure growth this year. But I have been praying and chatting with God on it and this morning He gave me my word. I do believe there is power in setting intention.

I want to be focused on His Truth. I want to know what God says about me. I want to lean into His promises. I want to be aligned with His plan, not my own agenda. Words I kept tossing around were Truth, Foundation, Secure, Anchor but I didn’t hear Him give me confirmation. Until this morning. Did you know chatGPT is not just for business…

I gave it all of the above and asked it to give me 15 words that would be options…many came up, but #4 jumped out at me and smacked me in the face. My word to stay focused on this year and to keep pointing back to when I get off track…a word that has come up over and over and over and I almost missed it…

My 2025 word is… and no, it’s not sourdough…it’s

R O O T E D!

And I think it’s hysterical that it’s not only been loud and clear in so many areas recently, but it also happens to be one of my Fit for JOY membership levels in my community launching this week. I guess I was already headed to this word before I knew it. 🤣

I love it!

My heart wants to feel so solid in my relationship with God that it cannot be shaken. So rooted in His Truth that the lies or the enemy are quickly seen for what they are. So grounded in my walk that I don’t get distracted by the shiny things of this world.

If anyone wants to know what I’m focused on this year, this is it. Being ROOTED in Him and the confidence of knowing who He says I am. 🩵

This week’s self care looks a lot like me going with the flow, listening to my body, and being present. Plans are great. Programs are awesome. Purpose is necessary. BUT we also need to breathe, take it easy, receive grace, lean into gentler movements, and dance.

I’m begging you…please stop allowing the enemy to get in your head and tell you that you’re doing it wrong. Self care is self care. We all have a different recipe and sometimes it varies week to week for me. Chill out and know that God can use all of it if you’re pointing at Him.
