He received his Doctorate of Medicine in 1992 from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Goldfarb completed his Pediatric residency at The Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital and fellowship in Adult & Pediatric Allergy & Immunology at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Upon graduation, Dr. Goldfarb accepted a position as Chief of the Department of Pediatric & Adult Allergy & Immunology with Ohio Permanente Medical Group. As an allergist, Dr. Goldfarb saw many patients with chronic illnesses that were not allergic in nature. These patients had seen multiple physicians who could not explain their problems or treat them effectively. In order to better address these ailments, Dr. Goldfarb developed a holistic approach towards medicine and expanded the breadth of his practice. Over the past several years, Dr. Goldfarb has focused his practice on various chronic diseases including fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. He also has expertise in pain management, hormone therapy, sleep disorders, diet & nutrition, detoxification, and allergies. He is currently a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and Board Certified with the American Board of Pediatrics. He combines mainstream medical therapies with complementary and alternative medical therapies. This approach has proven successful in helping his patients achieve and maintain wellness. Integrative medicine is a healing-oriented approach that encourages a partnership between patient and physician in the healing process. It melds appropriate conventional and alternative methods to facilitate the body's natural healing ability. Ultimately this approach takes into consideration (fuses) all factors that influence health, wellness and disease, including mind, spirit, body as well as community.
