Thank you to everyone who helped make September Ovarian Cancer have a voice! A big shout out to Jan Collins, Tina White, and Jonah Collins for taking all the bows down! All the bows look fantastic, so we should be able to reuse them in 2026!

The teal ribbons that turned up Monday evening along downtown Somerset streets came with a message – ovarian cancer claims many lives each year.

Thank you just doesn’t seem to say what I’m feeling, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for such a successful event tonight.

Today is the day! Meet us tonight in the judicial plaza at 6:00 pm. We will share about our mission and hear from a couple of survivors, we will take a group photo (maybe we can do this in front of the fountain this year?), then we will disperse and hang up our bows!

Each bow already has zip ties attached. We will be hanging bows only on the lampposts pictured. Make sure the bow is facing the traffic side and the zip tie is tight so they don’t slide down. Please do not hang bows on any private property, only the city lamp posts.

Can’t wait to see everyone!

We are so excited about our event coming up on Monday! We have received a lot of great coverage by local press which helps us get the word out about ovarian cancer!

This is not a fundraiser - we are just gathering as a community to raise awareness, support current ovarian cancer survivors and fighters, and to honor those who are no longer with us. Your encouragement and support is so appreciated!

So find your favorite teal shirt and join us at 6:00 pm Monday evening! Thanks!

So excited to be doing this for the 4th year in a row!

Join us downtown to hang ovarian cancer awareness ribbons on all the lampposts along Main Street and Mt Vernon Streets.

Everyone is invited! I would love to see more survivors there this year, so be sure and invite anyone you know who has been affected by ovarian cancer.

The earlier the diagnosis, the better the prognosis!

We took down all the bows - September went by so fast! Thank you, Somerset, for allowing us to hang our bows another year. See everyone next September!

I would love to not only turn Somerset teal, but also Facebook for the month of September! This is a great option for a profile pic or to share on your personal page! A few other options in the comments.

We have received approval from the City of Somerset to Turn the Town Teal! The event will be held on Monday, September 2, 2024, 6:00 pm, at the Judicial Plaza in Downtown Somerset to raise awareness for ovarian cancer.

I would love to include more ovarian cancer survivors in this event. They will not have to speak or do anything embarrassing, I would just like to honor them. If you know any survivors in the area, please have them contact me.

I look forward to seeing everyone on September 2nd!
