Last week, our friend Evenel from The Dalton Foundation trained our biomedical equipment technicians and facilities team on how to properly repair, clean, and maintain our new oxygen system. Our team now has the knowledge and ability to keep this complex system in good working order themselves, which helps ensure we are never without the lifesaving medical-grade oxygen our patients need.

These bluish lights in our NICU may seem a little strange at first glance, but they actually serve a really important purpose.

Known as bilirubin/bili lights, this tool helps treat newborn jaundice by breaking down a substance called bilirubin that causes a yellowish tinge to baby's skin and eyes. While our livers normally filter bilirubin from our blood, newborns sometimes need a little extra help while their bodies continue to develop.

The line winding into St. Boniface Hospital each morning is long, but our staff doesn't rest until each patient gets seen.

Last month we saw more than 8,500 visits to our outpatient clinic, 1/3 of whom were visiting for the very first time!

We love seeing our warehouse busy!

The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Haiti has made it extraordinarily difficult to get shipments of essential medications and supplies from Port-au-Prince. But our produrement, supply chain, and warehouse teams work around the clock to find ways to get these shipments through safely. And when a shipment finally arrives, it's all hands on deck to get everything counted, sorted, and stocked. All in a day's work!

Our intrepid drivers are incredible at what they do. Whether they're traversing jagged mountain roads, crossing deep rivers, or wading through muddy paths after a rainstorm, they always safely get everyone where they need to go.

So far this year our satellite clinic in Villa, Haiti, has seen over 8,000 patient visits. Here, people living in some of southern Haiti's most remote communities can recieve provide primary care, laboratory services, pre- and postnatal care, non-Cesarean deliveries, emergency care, and more.
