Even though Mikey is a champ who has been visiting me for years, we still want to ensure he is as calm and comfortable as possible during his acupuncture treatment. For this appointment, his owner brought one of his favorite stuffies to keep him company. If you think your dog would benefit from an emotional support toy for the appointment, don't hesitate to bring it along! We encourage caregivers to consider any aids that might help.

Senior Pet Month Feature: Megan's dog, Dot

Megan is a Vet Tech and Manager at Telford Veterinary Hospital who rescued Dot last year. Dot is estimated to be 15 years old. Due to her age, Dot experiences many health issues and mobility struggles, including debilitating arthritis. Megan started taking Dot to see Dr. Collins right away and together they made a good plan for Dot's care and managing her symptoms.

Senior Pet Month Feature: Dr. Loeffler's dog, Storm

Dr. Loeffler is a Vet at Telford Veterinary Hospital and has been bringing her nearly 12-year-old German Shepherd, Storm, to Dr. Collins for about two years to help with symptoms caused by an abdominal tumor. Storm receives monthly acupuncture treatments and regularly takes herbal supplements. The acupuncture point on her nose, seen here, helps with her appetite. The treatments have also positively impacted Storm's mobility.
