Getting out of survival mode starts with us—and the words we speak to ourselves every single day. 💛

As moms with goals, it’s easy to live on autopilot: doing, giving, pushing, repeating. But survival mode isn’t a personality trait—it’s a response to overwhelm. And one of the most powerful ways to shift out of it is by changing our self-talk.

Instead of “I’m failing because I can’t do it all,” try “I’m learning how to care for myself while caring for my family.”
Instead of “I’ll start when life slows down,” try “I can take small, supportive steps right now.”

As a Nutritional, Fitness, and Lifestyle Coach for Moms, I see this daily: progress doesn’t come from perfection—it comes from compassion, consistency, and honoring the season of motherhood you’re in. Mama, when you feel that wave rising—pause. Just for a moment.

✨ Try this to refocus:
• Take 3 slow, deep breaths (longer exhales calm your nervous system)
• Ask yourself: “What’s the next small thing I can do?”
• Step outside, even for 60 seconds
• Put one hand on your heart and remind yourself: I’m doing my best.

You don’t need to fix everything at once.
You just need to come back to you.

The trap of Survival Mode can be so sneaky that we might find it hard to recognize ourselves in it 😳

Survival Mode is easy fall into, but can be difficult to escape from. The dangers of staying in survival mode stem from our daily routines and habits. While our habits can be valuable, some we might realize might not be doing us as much good or don't play into our Strengths very well.

Think about your habits and what you do during your day. Are they benefiting you?
Or are you just in Survival Mode?

Taking small and consistent steps will bring you out of the stress and overwhelming feeling of just surviving.
