Let’s clear the air (literally).
When it comes to workplace cleanliness, there’s a lot of misinformation out there. Here are some of the biggest myths we hear—and the truth behind them:
Myth 1: “You only need to disinfect high-touch surfaces once a week.”
Reality: Bacteria on shared surfaces (like doorknobs, elevator buttons, and keyboards) can double in as little as 20 minutes. Daily disinfection is key in busy environments.
Myth 2: “If it looks clean, it’s clean.”
Reality: Many germs are invisible to the eye. Proper cleaning and disinfection—not just surface wiping—are required to make a space truly hygienic.
Myth 3: “Vacuuming alone is enough for carpets.”
Reality: Dirt, allergens, and even bacteria can get embedded deep within fibers. Routine deep cleaning is essential to maintain air quality and prolong carpet life.
Myth 4: “Hand sanitizer is a substitute for cleaning.”
Reality: Sanitizer reduces germs on hands but doesn’t clean surfaces. Both personal hygiene and regular cleaning protocols are essential for a safe workplace.
Clean doesn’t just happen; it’s intentional.
