New insights on Long COVID highlight the role of oxygen therapy in calming the body’s stress response and supporting recovery. Clinician Noah Greenspan emphasizes that treatment often focuses on “resetting” the autonomic nervous system—helping the body shift out of fight-or-flight and back toward balance, with individualized approaches for each patient.

As research evolves, therapies that support nervous system regulation and oxygen delivery are becoming an important part of the conversation around Long COVID care.

Long COVID Awareness Day

Long COVID can leave people dealing with fatigue, brain fog, poor sleep, and low energy long after infection. Emerging research suggests that Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy may help some patients by increasing oxygen delivery, supporting healing, and improving cognitive symptoms and overall quality of life.

Recent studies in 2024–2025 found many people reported better energy, clearer thinking, and improved daily functioning after treatment, with some benefits lasting up to a year. As research continues, HBOT is becoming one of the therapies being explored to support people living with Long COVID.

Happy New Year and thank you to all of our generous donors. You're making Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment accessible to the folks to need it most.

"I had 20 hyperbaric treatments in September and October of this year . I have pulmonary fibrosis and also have pain as a result of shingles. The treatments help me breathe easier and alleviated some of the pain that I have. Unfortunately I am back in Florida now and cannot afford the cost of treatments here. All in all the treatments were a great benefit for me." -Ron Cahen
