What a year, ON. What a year.

Last January, I promised myself I would bring my dreams home to reality and refuse to put up with feeling anything less than my best. I was three months post-partum, and was ready to find myself again after an emotionally-challenging pregnancy.

Becoming an ambassador played an enormous role in bringing those dreams to life.

I had a dream to fall in love with racing again. This dream came quick.

I had a dream to improve women's confidence and skill to protect themselves on the run.

With On, I hosted three self-defense events in hope I could make a dent helping women become less vulnerably viewed.

I had a dream to host 84 runners at run club to represent the percentage of women who are followed, abducted or murdered on the run. We hit 85 in December.

I had a dream to be an example for my son to find purpose, love and compassion in everyday - to truly live, work and breathe for a better tomorrow. I went to bed everyday believing I did my best to make that happen.

I know you have dreams too. Let On help you bring them to life, and apply become an ambassador. Doors close February 6th.

Last year, we helped over 100 female runners, and one male runner (thx ) to become better prepared on the run, remove fear and gain confidence. I hope that one day the female running population is less vulnerably viewed, and they no longer worry about being in a threatening scenario because we have helped condition them to win.

It's also my hope that these events help propel us female runners toward more personal records and more qualifying. As a byproduct of these self-defense classes, we can strengthen our belief system, remove stress, and provide a community that celebrates the fact that "No." can be a full sentence.

Thank you to Boulder Running Company, ON, Upswell + all our previous attendees for your ongoing support. Please share this event with your run club, team, and training partners.

This year, all proceeds will be benefiting an organization synergistic to our mission toward adult women runners. Girls on the Run is our chosen non-profit that reaches girls at a critical stage, strengthening their confidence at a time when society begins to tell them they can’t. Underscoring the important connection between physical and emotional health, our program addresses the whole girl when she needs it the most.

Lastly, we are still seeking addional sponsorship to bring this to scale. If your company is connected to the running industry and interested in supporting strong women on the run at all ages, please reach out!

Cooking brings me great joy. That is no secret. It puts me in touch with my love of feeling well while allowing me to exercise my creative muscles. It has been awhile since I have shared new recipes. Like many moms, I have had to streamline my cooking process. Styling and photographing food had to take the hit because ^this is^ what happens when I take my eyes off my son who is very curious in the kitchen! Curiosity and creating in the kitchen is primal, so I laughed my way to clean up and threw my once-was-white sweatshirt in the trash. I understand that one day this curiosity will turn him into one clever cook and encourage him to own his food choices.

Meals are meant to be shared, and food is meant to be manipulated! Figuring out how to run and maintain a healthy household is supposed to be fun. I promise it doesn’t have to be hard, but you can expect some days may be messier than others. There are methods in every mess!

In two weeks, allow me to show you how to have fun creating a healthy home enviorment at the Whole Health for the Whole Household workshop at Upswell.

On Saturday, I will be sharing the top tools and techniques to get you there at our Spring Marathon Workshop Series.

Here's what you can expect.

✨To move! Experience an UpSWOLL + Release Medley class designed by former Olympic Trainer, Greg Sand. Strength + recovery are equally important to every training run. We'll show you the benefits of working with the program througout your training cycle and beyond.

✨To learn! We will cover the pillars of experiencing a successful training cycle and race. You'll learn key terms and theories that give meaning to workouts, mileage and long runs.

✨To develop! You'll walk away with a training plan developed with your bio-individual needs in mind + an understanding of how to attain the half or full marathon goals you believe are possible.

We welcome novice to elite level marathoners. If you started off the year thinking about running a half or full marathon, reaching a personal record in the half or full marathon, or gaining optimal fitness through running, this is your chance.

On your mark, get set, go!

Completing the marathon distance takes more than a training plan. It takes an appreciation for the art of the race. To many, the marathon seems unthinkable. Though, with technique, commitment, and the exercise of using one's intuition, I believe nearly everyone can do it. Join me on 1/21 to reach the life-changing finish line of 26.2.

Scheduled in line with a 16-week Colfax Marathon training cycle, but designed for any spring marathon.
