The Larkin Community Hospital Physical and Rehabilitation Residency Program has been designed as a postgraduate training program of three (3) years in length to provide the resident a complete postdoctoral training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

🤯 Fun Fact: I dislocated my patella playing netball and needed surgery to realign it—chose a spinal block over general anesthesia so I could watch the surgery 🦵

Hometown: Tromsø, Norway

Medical school: Nova Southeastern University COM - Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Internship: Lakeland Regional Hospital, Transitional Year

Medical and personal Interests: I’m passionate about helping people improve both medically, functionally and mentally, recognizing that feeling good mentally is vital for physical recovery. I’ve always stayed active with a love for soccer, snowboarding, and being outdoors. Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and family, and our pup Bjørn.

Our residents shared their work at the FSIPP/FSPMR 2025 Meeting. Drs. Shah and Parker presented in the statewide PM&R residency podium competition. Dr. Patel presented two poster presentations. They had an incredible time learning and networking with programs across Florida!
