This was a BIG week for women's health! The HHS Advances Women's Health, and removes midleading FDA warnings on Hormone Replacement Therapy.
If you've been hesitant about hormone therapy because of the old label language, now is a great time to revist the conversation with your physician.

FDA commissioner Dr. Marty Makary joins "CBS Mornings" to discuss the agency's announcement Thursday that boxed warnings will be removed from many estrogen products used for hormone therapy, a treatment that helps alleviate the symptoms of menopause.

Love seeing articles like these being published.
We know that having a personal relationship with our patients improves health outcomes, and articles like this show just that.
In this article it was shown that when you get to see your p*p regularly, you have:
1)Reduced mortality of patients
2)Reduced visits to the ER
3)Reduced hospital admissions

Our office was closed this afternoon as we focused on CPR and AED recertification. Did you know that October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month? We encourage individuals to learn CPR and be familiar with the use of AEDs (automated external defibrillators). Early CPR and defibrillation significantly IMPROVES survival rates.
