✨ Today is Nonspeaking Awareness Day ✨

At I-ASC, we believe communication is a fundamental right. For nonspeakers, that means ensuring Access, Agency, and Autonomy every step of the way.

Huan, a speller from Virginia, US shares:
"I identify with autonomy because I was trapped in stigma and diagnosis. Now that my voice is being heard I can create the life I want, just like everyone else."

Access means removing barriers so nonspeakers can communicate fully.
Agency means honoring their right to make decisions about their own lives.
Autonomy means recognizing their power to define their own path.

Nonspeakers are not defined by what they cannot say — they are defined by what they can create, inspire, and lead. We invite you to join us in amplifying what they have to say.

We will NOT let finances be a barrier to communication!

At I-ASC, we believe every nonspeaker deserves access to communication, regardless of financial circumstances. That’s why we created the Speller Access Fund —to remove financial roadblocks and ensure new spellers can begin their journey with a Certified S2C Practitioner.

🌟 If you’re able, your donation makes this possible. Every dollar helps open the door to communication, connection, and belonging.
🌟 If your family needs support, you can apply for assistance. The fund is here for you.

👉 Donate or apply today: https://i-asc.org/s2c-spelling-to-communicate/speller-access-fund/

Together, we can make sure no one is left without a voice.

On the right, the green I-ASC logo appears with the text “Speller Access Fund.” A blue box highlights what each speller receives: five sessions with a participating S2C Practitioner, a full set of letterboards, and two S2C workbooks. At the bottom, bold text reads: “We will NOT let finances be a barrier to accessing communication!” An image of a stencil-style letterboard is shown next to the text.]
