Providing A Holistic Approach to Trauma Our services are evidence-based, diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

Journey To Healing is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing evidence-based education, outreach programming, and clinical therapeutic services to families who experienced trauma related to grief, loss, and everyday life experiences. We provide in-person and telehealth therapeutic services within a safe, confidential, and professional environment. Our clinical services are offered for childre

n, adolescents, and adults to foster healing and recovery from even the most pressing of mental health concerns. As part of the community approach, we are excited to provide community outreach programming that is proactive in facilitating coping skills. We are dedicated to supporting disadvantaged communities by reducing treatment costs within our training clinic. Our expert clinicians supervise bachelor's and advanced-level students seeking professional licensures in mental health. Our therapeutic interventions include but are not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family psychoeducation, trauma-informed care, applied behavior therapy, etc.

The Expressing Me: Advancing Healthy Births program offers free doula care and perinatal support for pregnant moms, postpartum parents (up to 2 years), and those healing after miscarriage. Services include birth prep, postpartum visits, baby supplies, and more — no income restrictions.

Choose from virtual, in-home, or in-person support. 💜

Grief is a journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone. We are excited to announce the start of this year's 2025 Family Grief Support Program, where families, individuals, and children can come together to find strength, resilience, and hope. This free program offers a safe, compassionate space to connect with others who share similar experiences. Through creative art-based activities, group discussions, and therapeutic exercises, you'll gain the tools to navigate the complexities of grief while fostering emotional healing and growth.

Each session is guided by caring professionals who will help you explore your feelings, understand your emotions, and discover meaningful ways to cope. You'll leave with a sense of connection, empowerment, and a deeper understanding of your grief. Together, we can heal and empower one another to move forward.

🌿 Day 2 at Week 2 at Farmington Hills Nature Center for Journey to Healing Empowering Young Hearts Youth Camp 🌿

On our second day, our campers embraced the beauty of nature with a refreshing field trip to Farmington Hills Nature Center!

From creating personalized coping toolboxes and engaging in mindful activities to visiting the nature library and learning from the knowledgeable nature interpretive staff, our campers discovered the calming and restorative power of the outdoors.

We went on a nature hike, enjoyed the splash pad, and reflected on our connection to nature. We practiced body and nature meditations and shared our feelings in a healing circle. It was a day of fun, learning, and relaxation. Here's to using nature's gifts to cope with stress and nurture our well-being.
